GLOBTER CENTRE – THE HUB FOR PROFESSIONAL DRIVER ASSESSMENT AND TRAINING

Globter Centre is an officially authorized and specialized facility dedicated to the assessment, testing, and training of professional drivers. It represents the heart of the Globter system, delivering both practical and theoretical processes essential for certifying drivers who aim to work in Europe and internationally.

Main Functions of a Globter Centre:

Practical Testing Facilities:

  • Equipped with high-performance driving simulators that replicate European road conditions, city environments, and specific challenging driving scenarios.
  • Access to European trucks with semi-trailers or buses, used for real-life practical driving assessments on dedicated training grounds.
  • Facilities for executing practical driving manoeuvres required for the Globter Initial Skills Certificate (GIS), including:
    • Right-angle reverse parking
    • Lateral parking for loading/unloading
    • Frontal parking
    • Disconnecting and connecting trailers
    • Emergency braking
    • Safe manoeuvring through obstacles
  • Polygon Training - Polygon Track Driving is a vital part of our Code 95 practical training. Conducted in a controlled, real-world replica environment, this hands-on training allows heavy vehicle drivers to practice advanced manoeuvres like reversing, tight turns, and parking with precision. The polygon simulates urban, rural, and highway scenarios, helping drivers gain confidence and control without the pressure of live traffic. It also prepares them for emergency situations—such as sudden obstacles or brake failure—ensuring they are ready for every challenge on European roads. All sessions are conducted under expert supervision, refining key skills like gear shifting, lane discipline, and defensive driving.

Theoretical Training Classrooms:

Modern classrooms for in-person or online theoretical lectures, covering:

EU Traffic Regulation Training

We train drivers to confidently navigate the strict and uniform road rules across EU countries, including speed limits, toll systems, work-rest regulations, and safety devices like CVS, tachographs, and automated toll systems. Our courses include hands-on experience with left-hand drive vehicles, giving drivers the tools to adapt smoothly to European driving environments.

Code 95 Certification

Globter Centres offer full Code 95 training—an essential qualification for all truck and bus drivers operating in Europe. Our structured program ensures drivers are compliant with EU law, enabling them to transport goods and passengers legally and safely.

Tachograph Operation

Drivers receive in-depth training on tachograph systems used across the EU. We cover everything from card insertion, setting modes (driving, rest, breaks), paper changes, and social legislation compliance—helping drivers master the device and avoid penalties for violations.

Workplace Safety

Our safety workshops emphasize road compliance, defensive driving, hazard response, and emergency preparedness. Drivers are trained in eco-driving techniques, load safety, accident response, and EU-compliant vehicle checks—boosting safety, fuel efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

ADR – Transport of Hazardous Goods

Globter provides ADR certification for drivers handling dangerous goods. Training covers legal classifications, safe handling procedures, emergency protocols, vehicle safety, and documentation—making drivers eligible for in-demand hazardous transport roles across Europe.

Navigation & Communication

Drivers are trained on advanced GPS routing, truck-specific mapping, and fleet management tools to improve efficiency and compliance. The course includes emergency response contacts, system troubleshooting, and professional dispatch communication.

Country-Specific EU Driving Rules

We help drivers understand unique driving laws in each EU country—covering tolls, winter gear rules, low-emission zones, urban access permits, and more. This knowledge ensures seamless travel, safety, and regulation compliance throughout the region.

cEnglish & EU Language Training

Globter offers tailored English and local language training for real-life interactions with employers, police, border officials, and colleagues. Our programs include transport-specific vocabulary, safety terms, and role-play scenarios to improve communication and cultural awareness.

Digital Tools for Interactive Learning & Exam Preparation

Globter Centres use state-of-the-art digital platforms to enhance driver education and assessment. Our e-learning tools include interactive video modules, real-time quizzes, and multilingual training materials that cover all major topics—from EU traffic laws to ADR, tachograph operation, and workplace safety.

Medical and Psychological Examinations:

Facilities for conducting mandatory medical check-ups and psychological evaluations to assess drivers’ fitness for professional work.

Certification Process:

The Globter Centre issues two official certifications:

Globter Initial Skills Certificate (GIS):

  • Obtained exclusively through practical testing at the Globter Centre.
  • Includes a numerical score (scale 1 to 5) and a detailed descriptive evaluation of the driver’s practical skills and competencies.
  • Serves as a transparent report card for both drivers and employers, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.

Globter Competence Certificate (GCC):

  • Awarded after completion of the Globter theoretical training course and passing the final theoretical exam, conducted at the Globter Centre.
  • Confirms that the driver meets European standards in both practical skills and theoretical knowledge, including language proficiency.
  • Also presented with a numerical score and descriptive evaluation, essential for employers to make informed hiring decisions.
